Ever the convivial hostess, Dato’ Rosemarie Wee outdid herself once again as she invited her cherished family members and friends to celebrate her birthday with her. Aligned with the cheeky theme of wigs and moustache, the venue was festooned with a disco ball, multi-coloured decorative items and fresh flowers – the latter is a reference to Dato’ Rosemarie’s nickname ‘Rose’.
Outside of the ballroom, next to the sumptuous buffet of food, a fun photobooth was set up. Guests were able to choose from a wacky selection of laughter-inducing props such as signs that read ‘I came for the cake!”, funky oversized dollar-sign glasses and pink wigs, among others.
Family members and friends of Dato' Rosemarie including Dato' Yap Teiong Choon, Antoine Bakhache and Dato' Anne Eu were seen decked out in fancy costumes in theme with the party. The standout was definitely Dato’ Rosemarie Wee’s son, Captain Justin, who was so unrecognisable in an Arabian sheikh costume and beard that even his own parents could not recognise him!
The finale of the night was the surprise karaoke session, where guests were invited to sing tunes off a lyric list including 'Sweet Caroline' and "River of Babylon'. The party wound down in the wee hours of the morning with guests letting their hairs loose on the dance floor.
