The inaugural Gallery Weekend Kuala Lumpur 2016 marked its kick-off with an exclusive dinner at Marini’s on 57.

The founder of GWKL, Datin Shalini Ganendra, her husband, Dato' Dennis Ganendra and Elizabeth Marini welcomed a select group of ambassadors and art aficionados to celebrate the occasion with a bespoke dining experience. Guest luminaries, Hanif Kara and Christopher Phillips - who were part of a special programme called the Luminary Pulse Series - were also in attendance.

A total of 19 commercial galleries, cultural institutions and museums, both private and public, participated in the one-of-a-kind weekend.
