Hilton Kuching turned 30 with a meaningful charity gala dinner in support of Teratak Kasih Tok Nan, a one-stop support centre for people living with HIV in Kuching, Sarawak. In partnership with the Malaysian AIDS Foundation, the iconic hotel hosted an evening to remember with live entertainment from Sarawakian songbird Dayang Nurfaizah, R&B singer Bob Yusof and the Queen of Comedy Joanne Kam. The lavish multi-course dinner also featured a dessert by Chef Dato' Ismail Ahmad. The event successfully raised RM230,000.
Several notable personalities were in attendance, namely Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister for Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports and his wife, Datuk Amar Hajjah Jamilah Anu the chairman of Malaysian AIDS Foundation, Professor Datuk Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman the president of Malaysian AIDS Council and trustee of Malaysian AIDS Foundation and Hamish Watts the general manager of Hilton Kuching.
