For over 4 decades, the KL Speakers’ Club has taken on the challenge of building and grooming a pool of articulate women to inspire, educate and entertain others through the gift of words. This year, the organisation is proud to reveal 9 graduates from the 56th public speaking class, who spent months polishing and honing their orating skills. Instructor Roopi Mohandas watched with pride as her graduates, who called themselves the 'Talking Titans', spoke about myriad of topics like tradition, golf and supermarket trolleys. The annual occasion was graced by guest of honour Raja Puan Muda Perak Darul Ridzuan, Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, who also presented the diplomas together with the club’s President, Tunku Dara Naquiah. All graduates gathered onstage for a final class photo, before they surprised their instructor with an an improvised version of "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor to symbolise their journey of conquering their fears of public speaking.
