The star-studded Golden Globe Awards 2016 kicked off to a glittering start just hours ago in Beverly Hills, California, and true to any renowned movie awards, our favourite stars came decked out in some of the most lavish and mesmerising gowns and suits for the occasion.

Some of the most notable ones include Jennifer Lawrence who was dressed by Dior in a structural red piece with peekaboo cutouts; Jennifer Lopez in a show-stopping Giambattista Valli number of electrifying yellow; and Olivia Wilde in a figure hugging inky red Michael Kors creation.
