With the vision of achieving an AIDS-free Malaysia by 2030, the Malaysian AIDS Foundation-Berjaya Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Award gala dinner raised RM2.41mil to fund efforts in eradicating the disease and create awareness to dispel stigma related to AIDS and HIV. Among the many generous supporters at the black tie gala were Tan Sri Vincent Tan of Berjaya Corp  and the Deputy Minister of Health of Malaysia, Dr Lee Boon Chye. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the honouree of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Award 2019, Dr Zaiton Yahaya, the founder and president of the Sabah AIDS Awareness Group Association.
