Dato' Mark Yeoh

At an intimate dinner attended by some 50 distinguished guests and members of the media, YTL Hotels unveiled exclusive footage and details about its new United Kingdom property, Monkey Island Estate. The evening's theme focused on novels inspired by Monkey Island, explaining the presence of literary decor elements alongside fresh flowers and foliage to reflect the rustic charm of the English countryside. Guests were treated to exclusive aerial footage of the new hotel grounds as well as mood boards of the hotel's interiors created by the New York-based interior design firm, Champalimaud Design.

After speeches by YTL Hotels Executive Director Dato' Mark Yeoh and Monkey Island Estate General Manager Lee Kelly, guests adjourned for dinner at The Library, where they sat down to a delightful 6-course meal created by Monkey Island Estates Executive Chef William Hemming. Set to open in the summer of 2018, the Monkey Island Estate boutique hotel sits across seven acres, boasting 27 guestrooms, 3 suites and 6 individual luxury residences.
