For our Connect To Change event in Indonesia, we teamed up with Pansophia Nusantara Foundation. Social entrepreneur and Gen.T honouree Gigih Septianto led children from the foundation's Marunda School, which is in an underserved district of Jakarta, on a community clean-up as part of World Cleanup Day on September 21.
The mission of the Connect To Change programme is to bring the Gen.T community together to create positive impact, partnering with local charities across Asia and activating the skills of our honourees to benefit the charity and help its founders achieve their goals.
After leading the children through the local area to pick up trash—educating them on different types of waste and how to dispose of it as they went—Septianto then held sharing sessions with the students at the school, telling them about his life as an entrepreneur.
To raise funds for Pansophia, and the clean-up activity, Gen.T honouree and celebrity stylist Archangela Chelsea Yusuf donated her time to lead a fundraising makeup class at Jakarta's Central Park Mall ahead of the event.
