Furry helpful beach clean-up assistants
The work of an environmentalist like Bryan McClelland never ends. While his focus is on building a more sustainable future with bamboo, when other areas of environmental preservation needs help McClelland just canine turn a blind eye. Luckily, he has plenty of help from his “Beach PAWtroll” pals-slash-furbabies.
McClelland, of Bamboo Innovation Group Foundation, shared a slideshow on Tuesday highlighting how much rubbish is left on a beach at Ligtasin Cove in Batangas City, Philippines. He managed to fill at least three huge bags with litter which included glass and plastic bottles and metal cans.
“Picking up other peoples’ trash always pisses me off, but I’ll never stop doing it,” McClelland wrote on his Instagram post. “My hope is that one day we will create and live in a society that appreciates and takes care of our environment.”
Wandering about Bali
Indonesian-Malaysian designer Jasmine Tabalujan Chong shared a sizzle reel from her Bali trip on Instagram, and showed off her brand’s new Pomelo Bag in bright fuchsia.
In another post she said she’s “kept it simple in Bali the last 2 weeks working on my side project @celestiayacht”. She joked about how much her dainty purse can carry: “In the last photo, the Pomelo is carrying: a swimsuit, film camera, wallet, passport, hotel key card, lipstick, sunglasses and mints.”
