For our Connect To Change event in Taiwan we partnered with The Shiner Education Foundation to host a day of musical and artistic activities at an underserved school in rural Taiwan.

Gen.T honourees Cho Chen, the founder of Skids School, and saxophone player Tzu-Chieh Shen travelled to Bitou Elementary School, which is two hours' drive outside of Taipei, on the island's northern coast. 

Chen led an artistic session, teaching the children how to draw self-portraits, in line with her stance that children must first learn to understand themselves before they can fully understand anything else. Later, Shen introduced several instruments and musical styles to the children, before treating them to a saxophone performance.

Shiner Education Foundation CEO Monique Wang also invited Lawrence Yen, a supporter of the charity and owner of restaurant Gastrojoy, to serve a traditional Spanish fideuà for lunch. 

The mission of the Connect To Change programme is to bring the Gen.T community together to create positive impact, partnering with local charities across Asia and activating the skills of our honourees to benefit the charity and help its founders achieve their goals.
