The founder of Fave Group collaborates with Gen.T to create a playlist of songs that help him to relax at the end of a long day
Joel Neoh is in his mid-30s and has already started at least five companies. This includes Says.com, a social news network he co-founded in 2010 that was later acquired by Malaysian internet company Catcha Group and renamed Rev Asia.
He also established Groupon Malaysia, where he served as CEO until 2015 before leaving to start KFit, a fitness sharing platform that was later incorporated into his next and current venture, Fave Group. Today, he is building a tech giant on a mission to help consumers in Southeast Asia save money on food, fitness, travel and more.
When he emerges from the office at the end of the day, he turns to music as one of the ways to help him unwind. In addition to using music as a post-work relaxation tool, Neoh also sees it as a great way to remember special moments in his life.
“Music is the backdrop to life, as well as a way for us to experience the cultures and emotions of others from different backgrounds and generations,” he says. Here, he curates a playlist of songs with Gen.T for anyone who needs a post-work wind-down.

O Mio Babbino Caro, Giacomo Puccini, Amira Willighagen and William Hayward
"From the year 1918. A 102-year-old masterpiece of a love song that reminds us why we do what we do every single day—love is our reason."
It’s Been A Long, Long Time, Harry James
"From 1945. This song was written right at the end of World War II to welcome home spouses who were in the military. It reminds me of how privileged we are today to be able to go home to our loved ones after just a day’s work in the office."
