Celebrities that go beyond just picking and choosing from available home pieces
A creative collaboration we are seeing increasingly these days is celebrities working with home designers and architects to create a place they can call home. One that’s particularly mould and shaped to the person and family’s personalities or trades, and which may not fit another if they were to walk through the meticulously curated rooms.
While some celebrities engage with interior designers to put together their homes and hearth, some go above and beyond to try their hands at creating furniture pieces, even all-encompassing home collections that reflect their styles and preferences.
Here are some that prove that these celebrities may just have a chance in moonlighting as a home or furniture designer.

1. Legs for days
Pharrell Williams has already collaborated with various musicians, artists, designers and brands before he was appointed artistic director for Louis Vuitton’s menswear earlier this year. From fashion partnerships with adidas and Comme des Garçons to music collaborations with Justin Timberlake and Yuna, it shouldn’t be surprising that there is also a furniture design effort in his multi-faceted list of projects.
The Perspective chair series was a 2008 collaborative debut between the creative icon and Parisian studio and atelier Domeau & Pérès, founded by Les Compagnons du Devoir graduates Bruno Domeau and Philippe Pérès. A “homage to the Eames structure,” the chairs feature metal legs and feet in the shape of a man’s and a woman’s pairs of legs, with seatings that echo the ’50s industrial icon’s aesthetic notes.
