According to research, these ten property types are considered the most eye-catching across the globe

When it comes to buying a home, it can feel like there are a million things to consider: location, size, amenities, accessibility, and so on. However, recent research has shown that aesthetics is important to every homebuyer.

This is why GetAgent, an estate agent comparison site, has conducted an innovative new eye-tracking study to reveal which homes worldwide are most aesthetically pleasing to the human eye.

From the UK’s ornate Victorian-style homes to Greece’s classic white buildings with blue domed roofs, here’s the list of the ten most beautiful property types we wish we could own.

1. UK Victorian-style

With a score of 91/100, Victorian-style houses in the UK are considered among the most aesthetically pleasing homes on the planet. Originating in the 19th century, these houses' decorative detailing and spacious interiors have a charm that attracts many people to choose them over more modern builds.

2. Italy Tuscan-style

Italy’s Tuscan-style homes follow closely in second place. These homes, which feature limestone facades and terracotta roof tiles, are famed for seamlessly blending into the romantic Tuscan landscape and have been noted by participants as being incredibly visually appealing.

3. Indonesian traditional

In number four, we take a look at France’s stunning Bastide homes. These elegant homes are a type of stone manor that can usually be found in a courtyard framed by open, lush greenery.

5. Thailand traditional

6. USA Spanish revival
