The recently unveiled 5 Series hybrid is a welcoming move from the automaker, adding to their growing list of eco-friendly cars in the country.

BMW Malaysia recently launched the new 530e Sport, the first-ever hybrid entry into their business sedan lineup in a bid to become the top premium hybrid automaker in the nation.

The new hyrbid comes with a combined system output (petrol and electrical) of 252hp, allowing for a 0 to 100km/h sprint in 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 235km/h.

Thanks to its energy management system, the new hybrid consumes only 2.0l of fuel for every 100km, with an all-electric driving range of up to 48km and a max speed of up to 140km/h, what BMW touts as the best in its segment.

As an additional incentive, new owners will get unlimited complimentary access for 1 year to ChargeNow electric vehicle chargers located at a growing number of popular locations.

Priced at RM 343,800 (without insurance), new owners will also get 5 years worth of unlimited mileage warranty, free scheduled service programme and a tyre warranty programme.
