1. The Christmas Chronicles 2

In this sequel to the 2018 hit, Kate Pierce is now a cynical teen and unhappy with her mother's new relationship. She's also not too thrilled that her family decides to spend Christmas at a tropical resort. Missing home, Pierce tries to run away only to unexpectedly reunite with Santa Claus. She helps him to stop an elf's plan to cancel Christmas forever. Kurt Russell returns as Santa while his real-life long-time partner Goldie Hawn stars as Mrs Claus.

3. Dolly Parton's Christmas On The Square

A new Scrooge is in town as Regina (Christine Baranski) plans to sell her small town without any consideration of its disruption to the livelihoods of its residents. That is until Dolly Parton's singing Angel pays her a visit. Have a tissue box ready.

4. Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey

If you like musicals and fantasy, Jingle Jangle combines the best of both worlds with a star-studded cast that includes Forest Whittaker, Ricky Martin, Keegan Michael-Key and Phylicia Rashad. The story revolves around a young girl trying to cheer up her toymaker grandpa who has been betrayed by his apprentice.

5. The Polar Express

Based on the 1985 children's book of the same title, this Robert Zemeckis classic tells the story of a young boy embarking on a magical snow-filled adventure to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. It stars Tom Hanks as the voice of the boy's father and the train conductor.

6. Dash & Lily

If you love rom-com, you will fall for this series about two strangers in New York City who connect via a notebook. Starring Austin Abrams as Dash and Midori Francis as Lily.

7. Die Hard

This Bruce Willis actioner needs no introduction. Although not a typical Christmas offering, it is set at an office Christmas party and has since become a seasonal staple. The 1988 movie has spawned three sequels but this is the best in the bunch, and remains a thrilling watch after all these years.  

8. Klaus

An unlikely friendship is formed between a selfish postman and a reclusive toymaker in a cold, dark town deemed the "unhappiest place on Earth". The friendship melts away an age-old feud and delivers a sleigh full of holiday traditions.
