Damien Hirst X Lalique 'Eternal' crystal panels

The virtues are immortalised as butterflies in a series of limited edition crystal panels called ‘Eternal’, a collaboration between the artist and Lalique.

Damien Hirst, one of the most significant contemporary artists of his generation, has perhaps made tangible some of the most elusive qualities of humanity – love, hope and beauty.

They are immortalised as butterflies in a series of limited edition crystal panels called ‘Eternal’, a collaboration between the artist and Lalique, the renowned French crystal-maker brand.

The butterfly has long been one of Hirst’s most recognisable motifs, having been heavily featured in his works since the late 1980’s.

The collection consists of 3 series -- 'Love, Hope and Beauty' -- each consisting of 12 panels featuring different butterflies and comes in 12 different colour-ways.

They measure 37.5 x 41 x 2cm per panel, with each signed by the artist and numbered. A signed edition certificate will also accompany each purchase to validate its authenticity.

The rectangular shapes can be displayed in numerous ways such as being mounted on an easel, framed and hung across a wall partition or inserted into a wall.

We can just see it on our walls already, a mix-and-match stained glass window of delicate butterflies superimposed upon even more delicate crystal that shines beauty, love and hope into our home each time sunshine hits them.
