For Friends fans who are hoping to see what happened to Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Joey, Monica and Phoebe after the final episode, HBO stresses that the cast members are reuniting on the show’s set as themselves rather than as their characters, stating that “this is not a new, original episode of the series” but rather a chance for cast members and fans “to reminisce”.

As shown in the official trailer, the cast of Friends can be seen visiting The Friends Stage aka Stage 24 at Warner Bros. Studios in California where all the magic happened, playing the trivia game that Ross (David Schwimmer) put together in The One with the Embryos, revisiting the iconic fountain from the opening credits, sitting down for a table read together for The One Where Everyone Finds Out, hanging out in Monica's (Courteney Cox) apartment, and more. Safe to say fans should arm themselves with lots of tissues ahead of the special.
