Check in to the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion on Leith Street. This is where your holiday of epic proportions begins.

Commissioned by Cheong Fatt Tze (1840–1916) aka the ‘Rockerfeller of the East,' the eponymous property turned derelict after its owner's demise, but was restored to its former glory thanks to a team of Penang conservationists. Since then, the UNESCO award-winning heritage site has served as the backdrop for the following films — Oscar-winning French film 'Indochine' (1992), Malaysian movie 'The Red Kebaya' (2006), murder mystery 'The Blue Mansion' (2009) and comedy-drama 'Crazy Rich Asians' (2018)
