Samsung Dream Dog House

Beyond just a kennel, the Samsung Dream Dog House features two cosy pods, one for sleeping and relaxing, and the other for entertainment.

The saying ‘It’s a dog’s life’ no longer sounds as bad as it once did with more and more luxury products and accessories made specifically with four-legged friends in mind.

Korean electronics giant Samsung has unveiled at CRUFTS 2015, the world’s largest dog show and expo, a mini luxury apartment made for your little furry friend.

Beyond just a kennel, the Samsung Dream Dog House features two cosy pods, one for sleeping and relaxing, and the other for entertainment complete with snacking amenities.

It took 12 designers over 6 weeks and $30,000 (around RM111,190) to build it, and of course they packed it with today’s latest technology so your dog will feel less lonely when it is home alone.

The sleep pod features grey padding and fluffy pillows propped before a Galaxy Tab S for video-communication between dog and owner, topped off with a push-to-woof button. In the entertainment pod, a paw-automated snack machine is built into paw-and-bone print wallpaper as well as a sky light with ceiling access so dogs can have a snack while contemplating life choices.

Your pooch need not be confined to just within the pods either; open concept glass side walls open up to an AstroSurf Treadmill, where it can stretch its legs if it feels like it, and a hot tub for soaking.

Unfortunately, only one was created as part of the Samsung sponsorship programme and it has since been given away via a social media contest.

We’ll bet its new owner is going to have a woofing good time with it.
