Having recently celebrated their 70th anniversary, the Vespa S125 is Vespa and Naza Premira’s latest offering to Malaysian shores. The new scooter sticks to Vespa’s successful signature of making the old new again.

The S125 takes its design cues from the Vespa 50 Special and Vespa Primavera, models from the 70’s, and differs slightly from Vespa’s newer models. Instead of the regular round headlight, the S125 features a square headlight, and a slight redesign of the seat gives it a stronger profile. The instruments panel is also designed to feel like a blast from the past; a nice nostalgic touch.

Underneath all the design elements however, is brand new technology. Packing a 124cc, 4-stroke engine that is built for optimal performance while delivering very low emissions and 55km/l fuel efficiency (a 5km/l increase over previous models).

The Vespa S125 is priced at RM10,988, and comes in five colours – orange, red, black, white and matte grey. Purchase includes a two-year manufacturer warranty and a one year AAM Bike Assists membership. Furthermore, the first 70 units sold will come with a limited edition decal.
