Chilled drinks and fizzy soda have always been popular in our tropical climate and for good reason. Nothing quite compares to a tall bubbly glass of cocktail or infused tea when the temperatures are soaring outside.
Now you can create your own fizzy drink almost anywhere with Soda Xpress, Malaysia’s first sparkling water maker. Heineken may have come up with a DIY home draught beer machine but now you can have sparkling cocktails, teas and a myriad of other beverages in the comforts of your own home.
All it takes is for you to fill up its bottle with your beverage, lock it in place and press on a button to carbonate the water.
The whole contraption, inclusive of the carbonating cylinder and bottle, weighs less than 4kg, making it portable even for a child. It also requires no power sockets or batteries to run since it relies on lightweight aluminium cylinders powered by hand.
A full cylinder of gas can carbonate up to 60 litres of water – equivalent to approximately 184 cans of 335ml soda. When empty, the cylinders can be refilled on a 1 fo 1 exchange basis at any of Chatime’s 120 outlets nationwide.
