Deepavali, Halloween, golf, a musical flea market and new restaurants -- what's not to like?

It's the end of the month, and contradictory one too. This weekend many of us will celebrate Deepavali, the festival of lights, before others will let out their inner ghoul for a spooky Halloween weekend. But this weekend also promises a good time for Golf aficionados and some down time for us recovering from #MYTatlerBall2016.

Overall - a good weekend. Here are our suggestions:

The last week of this month promises new restaurants, cafes and other eateries to patronise for the next month. We have a fish market/restaurant, a craft-beer bar and a little piece of heaven on earth for chocolate lovers. Learn more.

The smoke has cleared; the dust has settled; sobriety has returned; and the adrenaline has dissipated. But the fun never dies and the smiles only turn into reminiscence. So re-live the Malaysia Tatler Ball 2016, one week after the wonderful night.

Another idea: A family-friendly Halloween at Ben's Independent Grocer.
