How Chadwick Boseman's fellow Avengers remember him on Instagram

Over the weekend, the world was greeted with the sad news of the passing of Chadwick Boseman after a four-year struggle with colon cancer. He was only 43.

Boseman rose to international fame with his performance in Black Panther, which made history by being the first superhero movie to feature a predominantly black cast. The box-office phenom was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars and won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture at the Screen Actors Guild Award.

Even before Black Panther, Boseman had an illustrious career portraying black American heroes including baseball player Jackie Robinsonin 42 and Supreme Court justice Thurgood Marshall in Marshall. He was last seen in Spike Lee's critically acclaimed Da 5 Bloods and completed filming Netflix's Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, which also stars Viola Davis.

His death was first announced on his official social media, including Twitter which just became the most liked tweet ever.
