Organised by the Buddhist Gem Fellowship, the Buddhist Art Exhibition is held in conjunction with Wesak@BGF2018, an initiative that aims to raise awareness and appreciation for Buddhist-themed art.

One Buddhist monk is taking a step beyond awareness and putting his artistic talents towards a worthy cause.

Nepal-born Bhikkhu Uttamo displayed an interest in art since his childhood days in the monastery. He’s taught art in schools in his home village of Thecho as well as in Soyambhu and Patan, holding his first art exhibition in 2006 at the Kumari Art Gallery.
