Candy-coloured columns and kaleidoscopic stairways are just part of the amazing experience that Batu Caves offers. Locals and travellers from all around the world have flocked to these famed limestone caves in Selangor, ascending those 272 brightly painted steps to the mystic Temple Cave.

3. The River Of Life

Listed among the world's top 10 most beautiful waterfronts by Indepedent UK, the River of Life project covers eight different rivers within Klang Valley, including the Klang and Gombak rivers which converge in front of Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad, the city's oldest mosque.

4. Medan Pasar Clock Tower

This historic clock tower in Kuala Lumpur's Medan Pasar or Market Square was built in 1937 in conjunction with the coronation of King George VI. From eye-catching art installations to community bazaars, the public square of Medan Pasar regularly plays host to visually-pleasing surprises for anyone willing to explore.

5. Bank Negara Malaysia Museum & Art Gallery

Consisting of six different galleries, Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery (BNM MAG) creatively explores the changing tides of Malaysia's economy and financial landscape from its pre-independence era to present day. 

The Nautilus Staircase (see above) spirals through each floor to the lobby, creating a fantastic backdrop for the 'gram.

6. Laman Perdana, Perdana Botanical Gardens Kuala Lumpur

If you haven't yet been to Perdana Botanical Gardens in Tun Abdul Razak Heritage Park, you're in for a treat. This attractive park boasts plenty of picnic spots by the lake as well as breezy walkways set amidst a variety of plants and trees. Head to the main square at Laman Perdana for some epic photo opportunities by those majestic canopy columns. 

7. Kwai Chai Hong

Also known as Little Ghost Lane, this charming heritage street in KL's Chinatown is rife with nostalgic charm. Stop for a bite at the lively bars and eateries here, or choose a colourful wall or mural as a background and start snapping away.

8. Thean Hou Temple

This six-tiered Buddhist temple in Kuala Lumpur is known for its picturesque pagodas, ornate columns and beautifully kept grounds. A popular spot for photo-taking is the courtyard where rows of overhanging red lanterns create a surreal setting.
