Marketed as the world's first solar powered smartwatch, LunaR integrates an analog watch design with a discreet digital notification system and the ability to charge your device with sunlight and artificial light.

The solar panel itself is transparent and hidden on the case covering the watch's dial and the smartwatch is designed for outdoor enthusiasts, travellers and lifestyle minded individuals.

LunaR's developers have boasted a theoretically infitine power system that doesn't require a plugged-in recharge system if users expose their watches to sunlight for as little as 1 hour a day.

The timepiece offers dual timezone timekeeping, sleep monitoring, 50 meters water resistance, the ability to track the sunrise and sunset and even activity tracking.

With the use of a paired app on iOS and Android, users can set a variety of frequently used app notifications for social media alerts.

The watch is currently available on Kickstarter and starts at USD 138 for early backers. Retail price after the campaign ends will be USD 239.
