Tom Dixon 'Brew' Copper Coated coffee set

The pieces are created from stainless steel and given a high-gloss finish from a film of vapourised copper.

After revealing his brass Form Tea Set in 2013, British designer Tom Dixon is extending his aesthetic to coffee with an all-copper set called Brew.

Due to release in September, Brew comprises a caddy, a scoop, a cafetiere, a stovetop espresso maker, a milk pan, espresso cups, a biscuit tin and a serving tray.

The pieces are created from stainless steel and given a high-gloss finish from a film of vapourised copper.

The collection is said to treat coffee-making as "a form of art," and coffee-drinking as "a ceremonial performance that merits tie and reverence."

Due to release in September, the Brew collection is part of the Tom Dixon Accessories collection, for which the furniture designer takes inspiration from British heritage to create home products, gifts and design objects in resilient and heavyweight materials such as copper, marble, cast iron, brass and wood.

The designer has previous created several brass pieces including the Form Tea Set,  Tool -- a set of architecture tools -- and the accessories collection Cog.
