There's a tableware collection focused on tea, coffee and the world of cocktails and an expanded range of candles.

The Maison & Objet trade fair is in full swing in the French capital, with pros from the worlds of interior design and decoration heading to Paris to check out what's new in the industry. New items on show this year include a fresh range of pieces from British design grandee, Tom Dixon.

"Tank" is a tableware collection focused on tea, coffee and the world of cocktails. Tom Dixon has added to the range with new "Tank" pieces including a large lantern and various tea-light holders. The range also includes a selection of six vases. New barware items include a whisky decanter and glass, a spherical bottle-stopper, a beer glass, a regular decanter, a wine glass and a carafe. And for fans of sweet treats, Dixon has designed a bowl, an ice cream bowl and a cake stand.

The wingback armchair has been revisited by the British designer in a bright, modern style.

Stone and Alloy

The house of Dixon has also expanded its range of candles with two new series. "Stone" candles are scented with fig and sandalwood and come in marble casings each with a unique natural finish. "Alloy" candles come in gravity-cast aluminum vessels, made from steel molds.

And finally ...

"Orbit" is a new set of seamless circular nesting trays. Each tray is made from one sheet of solid brass, pressed into a mould then plated. "Stack," on the other hand, are oversized sculptural pots made from small pieces of wood, recomposed into concentric rings to make mysterious monolithic vessels.
