An art exhibition titled Connect & Disconnect brings together a curated selection of artwork from three emerging artists - Reena Kochar, Lisa Wong and Wan Sariah Wan Jaafar. The artwork, including paintings, sculptures and even handbags, reflect the artists' feelings about human connection, technology and society. Put together by the National Art Gallery, Connect & Disconnect is being hosted at Creative Space, Malaysia Tourism Centre.

2/10 Harmony By Lim Kim Hai

Art connoisseurs are in for a treat with Vallette Gallery's newest exhibition, Harmony, which showcases Malaysian artist Lim Kim Hai's works from the '80s to 2010s. His artwork revolve mainly around apples through which he expresses his observation of society and the philosophical tension of unity.

3/10 Belang, An Art Exhibition In Support of Save Our Malayan Tiger Campaign

Now until March 31

Held at Penang State Art Gallery, 75 artists pay tribute to the endangered Malayan tigers via diverse artworks ranging from photography and abstract paintings to sculptures and mixed media art. In collaboration with the Department of Wildlife and National Parks of Peninsular Malaysia, the exhibition aims to bring more attention to the seriousness of the threat to their existence - there are now only less than 200 Malayan tigers in Malaysia.

Among the participating artists are Abdul Rashid Abdul Razak, Bibichun, Rahmi bin Bujang, Rebecca Duckett-Wilkinson and Tiffany Choong who is displaying an acrylic painting of the magnificent creature. If you'd like to learn more about the pieces on display, mark March 21 in your calendar when the museum is conducting a curatorial tour as well as an artist sharing session. The tour starts at 10.30am.

With over one billion streams, the 22-year-old rapper, singer and songwriter Ali Gatie will make his Malaysian debut with an intimate performance at KL Live, Life Centre. He will perform songs such as Say To You, It’s You and Moonlight from his debut EP, You.

To celebrate Putrajaya's 25th birthday, 25 colourful hot air balloons will take to the skies at the Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. To be held at Precinct 2, you can catch a bird's eye view of Putrajaya on a 60ft high tethered balloon. After sunset, the balloons will be lit up, promising an unforgettable spectacle.

The fantastic festival that lets you delight in all things French is returning for its 19th year. As usual, a wide range of activities will be held from film screenings and art exhibitions to musical performances including an acoustic concert by rock star Manu Chao.

We're most excited about the art de vivre events that includes an artisanal bread workshop by the master bakers of PAUL, which is also the ambassador of the French art de vivre.

Malaysian celebrity chef Anis Nabilah has been named 'Friend of the Festival' this year.

9/10 The Blind Men & The Elephant In Kuala Lumpur

March 21 - 29, 2020

Local artist Weng Nam Yap, whose work has been exhibited internationally, will hold his first solo exhibition in Malaysia. The exhibition, which opened in Hokkaido four years ago, is essentially an interactive audio-visual installation that invites visitors to play the 'blind men' role and piece together sounds and visuals unique to an object, an event or a location in Kuala Lumpur. Yap wanted to introduce this work in the context of Kuala Lumpur in an attempt to rediscover the city he was born and raised in.
