In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness month, Shangri-la collaborated with Bowerhaus in curating a special Pink Afternoon Tea menu to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA). Guests will be able to indulge in the afternoon Tea at the Lobby Lounge and own one personalised Bowerhaus Pink Brooch with every set purchased. The pastry team at Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur, headed by Chef Fariza has curated a menu that consists of decadent treats such as Salmon Choux Bagel with Watercress and Ikura, Garlic Shrimp and Avocado Crostini, Babaganoush on Beetroot Blinis and many more.

The festival returns for its 7th year at Publika. It's the first and only festival in Southeast Asia that revolves around the concept of ideas. This year, the festival focuses on climate change, gender equality, poverty, and many more.

5. Sepet The Musical

Liver & Lung Productions' Sepet The Musical extends its successful September run with additional shows this month. An adaptation of the late Yasmin Ahmad's film masterpiece, it tells the story of a Malay girl, Orked, and a VCD seller, Jason, in Ipoh set to music.

Nando’s YOUthReka is an exhibition that will showcase artworks of 12 talented YOUthReka alumni as well as the two Grand Prize winners, Choo Ai Xin and Yau Boon Han and winners from past YOUthReka events. YOUthReka aims to showcase inspiring youth creativity and artistic talent, and encouraging young people in Malaysia to develop their love for art. 

The exhibition is open to the public and free admission from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm at Galeri Prima.
