The newly-appointed Louis Vuitton creative director for menswear has been a pop culture figure with upbeat hits you can't get enough of

Grammy-Award-winning artist Pharrell Williams has been in the music game since the Nineties. He has made a cultural impact over the years, starting as a record producer.

Williams thrived during the rise of hip-hop with saxophonist Chad Hugo as they formed a duo they later called Neptunes. It wasn't long until the artist cemented his place in the music industry, making hit after hit. Neptunes has produced 90s favourites included in this list.

While the artist formed the band N.E.R.D. with Hugo, Williams also went solo in 2003. Years later, the artist took on soundtrack composition and scored the successful Despicable Me animated movie. He has also helped write other hits that have made Williams truly an icon.

Here are some of Skateboard P's biggest hits that he co-wrote, featured in, or sang:

1. Happy

Williams' Happy music video has reached more than 1 billion views on YouTube since it was first released nearly 10 years ago for the Despicable Me 2 movie. But even without the star-studded video, the track is already a hit with its feel-good lyrics and a catchy chorus that can send almost anyone on their feet.

2. Get Lucky

This groovy track includes Williams who sings another memorable hook that's repetitive and simple, making it another success. It's a playful disco song that the artist also co-wrote with other songwriters including Nile Rodgers.

3. Lemon

"Lemon is a fruit. It is bitter. Hence, the origin of the song. It's like when we all have the potential to be very fruitful as human beings, but there are certain times when people act like they're like happy for you, but when they answer your question or when they see you, it's kinda like they just bit into a lemon," explains Williams in an interview with iHeart.

Lemon features a glitchy yet catchy beat that works so well with Rihanna's delivery.

4. Drop It Like It's Hot

One of the greatest hip-hop songs of all time would not exist if it weren't for the Neptunes. The duo produced what could be one of the catchiest beats which features Williams using a spray can, which he revealed in the "GGN" interview on Snoop Dogg's YouTube channel. Williams also performs a verse in the song with the rapper.

5. Frontin'

The mighty Skateboard P goes solo with Frontin', a timeless track that features a golden verse by Jay-Z. Williams' signature singing and jazzy beat make it a top pick for most of the artist's fans.
