The Asian diaspora takes centre stage at the 81st annual Golden Globes, held last January 7 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles
The 81st annual Golden Globes rings in the 2024 awards season, honouring the most significant films and shows. While 2023 may have been the year of Barbie and Oppenheimer, it is worth noting the wave of Asian actors and filmmakers steadily arriving on the mainstream.

This year sees the Asian diaspora represented in a wide spread of categories spanning from live-action dramas to children’s animated films. Let’s delve into some of their standout moments from the night.
