K-pop star Kim Taehyung, popularly known as V, continues to tease the release of his first solo project, ‘Layover’, scheduled for September 8

Kim Taehyung, aka V from K-pop mega band BTS, dropped the music video for Rainy Day, the second single from his upcoming solo album Layover at 12:00 noon Hong Kong time todayand it had one million views on YouTube within 20 minutes of releasing.

It’s the second time he has broken the internet this week—the first was when the music video of Love Me Again, the lead single from the same album, was launched on August 9. This intimate R&B track’s music video hit one million views on YouTube in only seven minutes.

In Rainy Day, which is steeped in V’s signature brand of nostalgia tinged with sensuality, the star is seen sculpting, painting—and, of course, daydreaming.

The full album, which is scheduled to be released on September 8, will have four more tracks: Blue, Slow Dancing, For Us, and a piano version of Slow Dancing.

Like his BTS bandmate Jungkook, V has also dropped photos on his Instagram page as a teaser for his upcoming album, but he added a pawsome twist to it by bringing in a surprise guest, his furry companion Yeontan.

In a press statement, V’s record label, South Korea’s Big Hit Music, has described the album as a “1970s romantic soul style track [that] exudes a laidback and free-spirited feeling”.

V’s album release teaser comes on the back of fellow BTS member Jungkook’s solo project Seven; the title track’s music video dropped three weeks ago and has so far been watched 143 million times on YouTube.
