With the cosmos calling for us to slow down and process the big lessons in life, Tatler’s astrologer Casey Chan explains what it means for each star sign this week
This month starts with some forward-moving momentum, as we have Mars in Virgo trine Jupiter in Taurus—Mars is the warrior who acts, Jupiter is the lucky star who blesses. As Virgo and Taurus are both Earth signs, we are called to follow the body’s wisdom and trust in taking inspired actions; this could look like asking the body what kind of food and movements it craves and following through with supportive actions. On the same day, we have Mercury in Virgo opposing Saturn in Pisces. If the voices in your head are getting too critical with judgements, allow yourself to take a mental pause and return to the presence of the body. Resist the urge to initiate any important conversations, especially with authority figures.
On August 2, we have the first of two Supermoons of the month. In the sign of Aquarius, this full moon highlights the themes of friendship, network, future plans, dreams and even social awareness. We all have a calling in this world that is unique to us, although sometimes the voices in our heads that are shaped by societal conditioning become so loud that they drown out even our own fiery passion. On this day, notice the stories that the mind perpetuates and discern whether or not they are serving you to build the life of your dreams. Allow yourself to release all heaviness that is not yours to carry.
