How a breast cancer diagnosis changed her life
Lim Kim Foong’s path to becoming the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) president is a remarkable and deeply personal one, marked by an unexpected breast cancer diagnosis during the pandemic.
Despite losing her job and experiencing a death in the family, Lim’s resolve and resolution pushed her through 16 rounds of chemotherapy and 20 rounds of radiotherapy. In this Pinktober special, we speak to her about her experience and what led her to become the president of BCWA.

Rizman Ruzaini’s latest collection features vibrant shades of burnt orange, rose gold and turquoise, opulent details and traditional Malaysian songket, drawing inspiration from the Nusantara folk legend of the Naga Seri Gumum, which tells the tale of a dragon slumbering deep under Pahang’s natural treasure Tasik Chini.
