Bling Empire: New York may be over but the show must go on for its glamorous star Lynn Ban. We caught up with the Singaporean jewellery designer last month and played dress-up with her—and it was nothing short of spectacular. Ban’s vintage fashion archive is a portal that goes as far back as the 1960s and to her, they represent more than just old clothes. Among her treasured pieces is the “Versace Warhol dress”, as Ban calls it.

“There were only three of those dresses made,” reveals Ban, who bought the treasured piece on eBay and with it, her membership into an ultra‐exclusive club of people who can call themselves a proud owner. Even the most well-travelled of us know that there’s no place like home. This holds true for a long-term client of designer Ina Rinderknecht, who took years to find an ideal property in his hometown of Teufen in Appenzell, the smallest canton in Switzerland. When he found the right one, a plan was set in motion to create the villa of his dreams.

From being a local musician to creating one of the biggest yoga studios in Singapore, the co-founder of Yoga Movement and now director of Strong Pilates Singapore Alicia Pan has done it all—and she isn’t stopping any time soon. While today, Pan’s name might be largely associated with homegrown fitness studio, Yoga Movement, this wasn’t always the case. In fact, prior to Yoga Movement, the fitness guru was a singer-songwriter—and a popular one at that.

New Jeans’s Hanni made a rather surprising appearance at Gucci’s cruise 2024 fashion show in Seoul. The surprise wasn’t so much in her presence itself—the K-pop star became an ambassador for the Italian fashion brand last year—but more so in her elegant ensemble. Hanni looked prim and proper wearing a beige skirt suit—the very silhouette that former US first lady Jackie Kennedy popularised in the ‘60s.
