Dato' Fadza Anuar

Co-Founder and CEO, FashionValet

Dato' Fadza Anuar is behind one of Malaysia’s fastest-growing companies

The CEO of FashionValet, Dato’ Fadzaruddin “Fadza” Anuar is responsible for growing the e-commerce retail company he co-founded with his wife, childhood sweetheart Datin Vivy Yusof, to become one of Malaysia’s most valuable companies. Fadza is also credited for sparking the idea for the home-grown e-commerce platform, which promotes local fashion designers and helps them scale their business.

Under Fadza’s leadership, the company grew exponentially in revenue and customer base, with clients spanning Southeast Asia, Australia, UK and Middle East. Besides winning RM1 million investment from MyEG Services through the reality television show Make the Pitch, which he participated in with his wife, Fadza successfully secured multiple rounds of funding. There were investments from San Francisco-based Elixir Capital and Zozotown, Japan’s largest online fashion portal, as well as a Series C investment round from sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional Bhd and PNB, the strategic investment fund of Malaysia’s Government.

Fadza took the company from online to offline, establishing brick-and-mortar outlets in major shopping malls in the country, eventually expanding FashionValet’s footprint to Singapore, Jakarta and Brunei, and tripling its revenue.

Fadza and Vivy were also selected to be part of Endeavor, a global organisation for high-impact entrepreneurs. Besides running the business, Fadza is a mentor to start-up entrepreneurs. He and Vivy are currently expecting their fourth child.
