Marion Caunter is one of Malaysia’s most recognisable personalities, known as a fashion chameleon often seen in the front row at major fashion weeks worldwide. One of her notable traits is her long, luscious locks, which is fitting as she represents her own haircare brand, Mare. Offering a comprehensive range of products, including its flagship, More is More hair vitamins, Mare is designed to maintain optimal hair health beyond the confines of the salon. Additionally, Caunter co-founded Hairplay Salon with celebrity stylist Shaun Yap in 2013.

Reflecting on her past as a host for TV programmes like E! News Asia and ESPN during the noughties, Caunter remains a charismatic and articulate communicator, a quality that resonates in her engaging social media posts and videos. Despite her success as a businesswoman, she hasn’t ceased her hustle, seamlessly promoting Mare among her diverse content that includes fashion, travel, events, and various moments of her life.

Caunter is the wife of SM Nasarudin Nasimuddin, Naza Group’s group executive chairman, and they share three children. Witnessing her eldest daughter looking up to her as a role model was an emotional experience for Caunter, being moved to tears while reading Leia’s heartfelt words about her on Instagram. Motherhood is a role prized most by Caunter, and such validation from her child is the most rewarding feeling a mother could ever experience.
