Led by tennis director Gill Lemore, the coaching team at the BISP Tennis Academy is professionally trained to help students advance beyond their capabilities and gain mastery of every level of the game. Lemore himself has 25 years of experience in tennis coaching high performance players and young, upcoming talents. Focusing on strengthening both the body and mind with fitness and conditioning drills that hone in on footwork, speed, balance and stamina, he believes that it is critical to develop both technical and tactical abilities in his students and teach them what is required not just on the court, but also off the court.

His team boasts qualifications and experience that say much about their ability to help students progress in an all-rounded manner. These include years spent playing the game on an international level and professional coaching credentials acquired at renowned tennis organisations such as the International Tennis Federation and the Global Professional Tennis Coaches Association (GPTCA) certified by ATP. Some of the members are also trained in sports management and psychology.

Every tennis coach at the academy plays the sport to a high standard and teaches based on his or her personal experience and understanding of the game. The team continually upgrades its coaching qualifications to ensure that every staff member is up to date with the constantly evolving tennis scene and that they are equipped to manage the extensive requirements and responsibilities of coaching in a high-performance academy.

Beyond on-the-court coaching, exposure to events where students get the chance to interact and compete with their counterparts from around the world is crucial to those who intend to develop a professional career in tennis.

Each year, the BISP Tennis Academy arranges training trips to the Nike tennis camp in the United Kingdom. These trips enable students to meet and compete against international players on a range of court types, and to visit Wimbledon and work with a network of coaches.
