The restaurant is nestled within a residential area in Bangsar. Located on the first and second floors, it can be easily identified with its prominent signage at the front. Reservation is recommended as the restaurant fills up pretty fast. The exposed brick wall gives a nice cosy and warm ambience.
The Leo’s Crispy Bacon Lollipops is recommended. Well presented on satay sticks, the crispiness of the outer layer gives a good contrasting texture to the moist filling and goes very well with its tangy sauce.
The Jamon Serrano platter has a nice aroma and the slight saltiness of the pork ham gives character to the meat. Leo’s Famous Iberico Pork Tenderloin is the highlight of the meal. The meat is moist and tender and the accompaniment of truffle mash is excellent – smooth and creamy with a hint of truffle. It is an absolute delight.
The baked cod fish is cooked to the right doneness an accompanied with hollandaise sauce. The slightly crispiness of the outer layer gives a good texture to the palate while the hint of truffle oil gives a very nice touch to the dish.
The wine list is pretty sufficient ranging from Old World to New World wines. Wines by the glass, carafe and bottles are available. There are four choices each of red wine, wines by the glass, carafes and bottles. The wine list contains some brief description of the grape variety, which eases the wine ordering process for a novice.
Staff are able to explain the menu items well, recommend dishes and even advise on some portion sizes. They are also able to recommended wines that go well with the dishes.
The price here is fair considering that this is a fine dining establishment. It is definitely recommended for group dining as patrons can order a variety of dishes and share.
