Leonardo's Dining Room & Wine Loft

A treasured spot for those who devour pork in as many ways as possible.

Few sights are more pleasing than pork satay skewers or a freshly roasted pork knuckle making their way towards the table, which is what you’ll encounter at Leonardo’s Dining Room & Wine Loft. A treasured spot for those who devour pork in as many ways as possible, a series of Spanish specialties - courtesy of Catalonian executive chef Toni Valero - stand alongside a reliable array of Leonardo’s crowd favourites. Regulars frequent this Bangsar institution for the bangers and mash, Hokkien mee, and Ibérico bak kut teh, but its generous selection of cold cuts, all made from Black Iberian pigs, make a terrific accompaniment to a carafe of house red. The wine menu’s clean, clear layout was also appreciated, as was how it very clearly set out where all of the wines were from, accompanied by simple, un-florid descriptions of each wine’s tasting notes. Plus points, too, for offering carafe options.

IN THE KNOW

On several Mediterranean islands, natives discovered they couldn’t dry-cure their sausages due to the balmy weather. They decided to age their sausages instead, and the result was the now famous Ibérico Sobrasada de Mallorca.

TATLER TIP

First-timers at Leonardo’s should try their house specialty, the Ibérico suckling pig, which, conveniently, does not require pre-ordering in advance.
