Lee is the only Malaysian from the 8 women honoured with this first and only international award for Asian women leaders.

The inaugural 2016 Asian Women Leadership Awards just wrapped up in Hong Kong and our very own Dianna Lee is among only 8 women from the region to win the title.

The Award, a joint initiative by China Daily and Asia News Network (ANN), seeks to recognise dynamic, successful and dedicated Asian women who are acting as catalysts of change in their societies. These women aren’t only industry leaders and gamechangers, they also serve as role models in entrepreneurship, innovation, charity and empowerment.

It is an honour indeed to win as this Award is the first and only international award for Asian women leaders.

“I am truly humbled and honoured,” says Lee, group CEO of Country Heights Holdings Berhad, when we got in touch to congratulate her on the achievement. “I am still learning so I hope to continue to improve myself."

“This win is a good motivation, not only for me but for all the Generation Y to know that as long as you work hard and stay true to your conscience, things will eventually work out for you even if you’ve fallen down many times. Age and gender does not matter – performance does.”

She adds, “It is also a reminder for me to continue to be brave and do the difficult but right things.”

The other winners are Rebecca Brosnan from Hong Kong, Chadatip Chutrakul from Thailand, Pansy Ho from Macau, Christine Loh from Hong Kong, Jing Ulrich from China and Miriam Yeung also from Hong Kong.
