YTL Corporation’s Rebekah Yeoh reacts to her December 2015 cover in this video series celebrating Malaysia Tatler's 30th anniversary
Above Malaysia Tatler's December 2015 cover personality Rebekah Yeoh reflects on the changes in her life since shooting this cover.

“This was one of my first photo shoots after I graduated and moved back home from London 4 years ago,” muses Rebekah Yeoh, corporate finance manager at YTL Corporation.

“I still had much to learn, and all I wanted to do was to make a positive change in society. For Tatler to give me, Kal and the others a sounding board for change was just wonderful.”

Despite her accomplishments and impeccable fashion sense, Rebekah is still a picture of humility, much like that bright-eyed, optimistic young woman on the cover of Malaysia Tatler in December 2015, alongside Tandemic CEO Kal Joffres.

“I remember this look so well!” Rebekah says pointing to one of her outdoor shots. “The team told me, ‘We’re going to put you in Dior,’ and I remember thinking, ‘I don’t own anything Dior, this is amazing!’,”

“I’m grateful to the many people in my life who have been willing to teach me, and show me all the possibilities of what could be done in society and the efficient ways to make an impact in the lives of those around you."

Another inspirational figure in her life is her father, Tan Sri Sir Francis Yeoh, who made every effort to cultivate good values and integrity in all his children from the onset.

“I really live to make my dad proud. But at the end of the day, it’s not our achievements that make him proud; it’s principles, values, religious backing that he values most in our lives. That’s what keeps us grounded and that’s what makes him proud.”
