Carolina Herrera's 2017 collection is princess perfect.

When Carolina Herrera presented her debut collection in 1981, she finished with a wedding dress. Thirty-five years on, the Venezuelan-American designer is committed to creating some of the most beautiful bridal wear out there.

The spring-summer 2017 collection is notable for a number of stand-out pieces, particularly the 35th-anniversary tribute dress, which is part Marie Antoinette ball gown, part slick New York style with its nipped-in waist, cascading skirt and modern neckline.

The bandeau bust and fitted bodice on this block-stripe gown flow into a dropped hem princess-skirt. A loose bow pulled to the back reveals an additional delicate lace panel which contrasts with the minimal front.

Fairytales don't always mean glitter and sparkles. This pleated cotton gown combines traditional shapes with more casual materials to create a fresh and modern dress. The collar provides a regal touch on an otherwise simple and sleek dress.
