Independent Swiss watchmaker De Bethune has created a one-of-a-kind timepiece for an upcoming wine action by Baghera/wines

On April 18, one of Europe's top wine auction houses will be having the La Romanée Memories 1862 - 2005 auction featuring the ultimate collection from the Bouchard Père & Fils historic cellars. A total of 332 lots comprising vintages, magnum and jeroboam will go on the block—but there's an interesting twist in that the last lot, Lot 332, is a luxury watch by De Bethune.

The DB27 "La Romanée 1865" watch features a burgundy dial complete with a recreation of the constellation in the sky overlooking "La Romanée" on harvest day on September 12, 1865 which produced an exceptional vintage. The sky map is created from tiny white gold pins delicately inserted one by one. It is powered by the Auto V2 automatic calibre, with a caseback inscribed with the name of the vintage.
