He chose Sì as the name for his perfume because this Italian word is decisive and determined, optimistic and strong – just like the woman who this fragrance embodies. “I have admired her performances in so many films. I love her gaze – it expresses both coldness and tenderness – and her modern-looking face with its unique lines, and her way of moving and walking that is so elegant and natural,” explains Armani as he spoke of the reason he felt Cate perfectly plays the role as the ambassador of the fragrance. “I thought that she would be able to express the complexity and the originality of a different type of perfume; one that is intense, sweet and light all at the same time.”

The product of a special extraction, and also a raw ingredient that Giorgio Armani loves, is the blackcurrant. Like a forbidden fruit, it maintains all of the full-bodied aspect of a dark fruit.“Thanks to a special extraction method, we have managed to conserve all the warm intensity of a black fruit. It is the first time that it has been used in one of my fragrances, enriched with May rose and freesia, with a masterful touch of patchouli. The result is an original fragrance with a timeless touch. Like a distant memory, or a dream,” states Armani. The innovative blackcurrant is enriched with two types of enveloping, sensual vanilla: one absolutely natural in its animal side, and the other, a Jungle essence that gives an addictive and bewitching sensation. Rose de Mai, perfectly enhanced by notes of freesia, blends beautifully to bring forth a subtle touch of patchouli. And finally a note of blond amber wood, intense orcanox, gives a sensual and warm scent, all wrapped into a structured yet simple bottle.
