The Happy Sport revives an old favourite while the L.U.C comes with a new twist.

Chopard revisits the first ever Happy Sport watch, happily bringing back the original bracelet, an eye-catching composition of interwoven pebble-shaped links with polished surfaces.

As flexible as knitted mesh, the “Galet” bracelet promises a comfortable fit on the wrist as well as an unmistakable feminine flair with the oval case. The case is further refined with a distinctively curved bezel. Against the silver-toned dial, though, the sparkle of the seven dancing diamonds is as playful as ever.

Case options include 18k rose gold and stainless steel, the latter embellished with diamonds. It is endowed with an in-house automatic movement with 42 hours of power reserve.

As with any L.U.C watches, the new model is crafted according to the highest Swiss standards including a case of white gold certified as Fairmined. The QF in the name refers to Qualite Fleurier that requires the watch that bears this in-house quality seal to abide by a stringent of manufacturing process from the choice of materials to the finishing.

The “Twist” refers to some design tweaks. First, the crown and seconds sub-dial have been moved, now positioned at ‘4’ and ‘7’ respectively. The  ‘12’ numeral is missing, replaced by a pair of facetted markers – it’s the only L.U.C watch in the entire collection to have this feature.

They may be nice diversions but this L.U.C remains a classic gentleman’s watch with its classically round case, satin-brushed sunburst dial in grey-blue hue, slender Dauphine fusee-type hands and a robust in-house movement endowed with the manufacture’s signature two stacked barrels.
