Designed for collectors, researchers and fashionistas, by Italian company Safilo Group is a cloud-based digital project dedicated to all things eyewear: its history, technology and enduring appeal.

Much like a museum, visitors can discover, experience and share their favourite eyewear through their devices and simultanously share the experience on social media, with the extension of intuitive features and language selections.

Visitors need only register to create a personal gallery, to select and download favourite pieces from 300 unique eyewear of Safilo’s permanent collection. Glasses are categorized by genre, historical period, and brand, thrown in with famous pieces that once belonged to Elvis Presley, Elton John and Madonna – all of which can be shared online with tag-a-friend options.

Additionally, the site is fed with calendar updates of events and temporary exhibitions targetting  locations, personalities or exciting happenings in the world of eyewear.
