The “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix and Jewellery Watch Prize

As of November 8, 2017, Chopard adds two new accomplishments to its belt at the revered timepieces awards, winning the “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix for the L.U.C Full Strike watch, and the Jewellery Watch Prize for its Lotus Blanc jewellery creation. Both co-presidents, siblings Caroline Scheufele and Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, were present to accept the trophies.

Innovations that are true to traditions

“I knew we had created a truly unique model but I did not anticipate such a great honour,” Karl-Friedrich said in his speech. “The L.U.C. Full Strike revisited one of the major horological complications, incorporating a significant innovation whilst respecting the traditions of movement.

 Upon acceptance of the Jewellery Watch Prize, Karl’s sister Caroline expressed her gratitude to Chopard’s design and creative teams for adhering to tradition throughout their constant innovation.

A marriage of watchmaking expertise and high jewellery

The L.U.C. Full Strikes is an expertly crafted tribute to the Chopard Manufacture 20th anniversary celebrations and is the maison’s first minute repeater. A tribute to the oriental flower, the Lotus Blanc watch is a culmination of watchmaking expertise and creativity, topped with a total of 25.66 carats white diamonds put together by high jewellery craftsmen. Both creations are made of ethical gold, certified Fairmined.
