The Mexican holiday of Día de los Muertos is a jubilant celebration of the cycle of life and a reminder of the certainty of death, which in turn gives meaning to existence
Chopard deftly interprets the symbol of the Day of the Dead, the calavera (skull), in the 100-piece limited edition L.U.C Skull One watch created in conjunction with the festival. The stylised skull that appears on the black lacquered dial is decorated with the sun, flower, heart-shaped motifs as well as a moustache above a toothless smile. Gilt hands and hours make a striking contrast against the dark backdrop.

Lending it a touch of elegance are the slim 40mm steel case coated with beadblasted DLC as well as a hand-stitched brown calfskin leather strap. The automatic L.U.C 96.53-L movement is equipped with two barrels for a robust 58-hour power reserve. The transparent caseback reveals the fine finishing of the movement that includes bridges adorned with Côtes de Genève pattern.
